Lacombe County honours farm family

Lacombe County recently honoured a local farm family who have farmed in the area for five generations. Since the spring of 1900, when Charlie Southwell purchased the quarter section, the land has been farmed by the same family. From Southwell, the land was passed to his son-in-law, Fred Moore, Barbara Otto’s father. Barbara and Stan Otto purchased the farm from Moore in 1956.
