Earthquake of Magnitude 1 in Minami Ward, Kumamoto City and Other Areas

At approximately 3:29 a.m. on the 29th, an earthquake with a seismic intensity of 1 occurred in Minami Ward of Kumamoto City, Uto City, Uki City, and Misato Town. According to the Kumamoto Local Meteorological Observatory, the epicenter was in the Kumamoto region, at a depth of approximately 10 kilometers. The magnitude of the earthquake is estimated to be 2.4.
