CAPE CANAVERAL SPACE FORCE STATION, FLORIDA, JUL 16 – Amazon’s Project Kuiper added 24 satellites via SpaceX Falcon 9, increasing its total to 78, aiming to meet FCC’s deadline for 1,600 satellites by July 2026.
- On Wednesday, July 16, 2025, SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket launched 24 Project Kuiper satellites, marking its third operational mission from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
- To accelerate deployment, Amazon signed a December 2023 contract with SpaceX for three Falcon 9 launches.
- Manufactured in Kirkland, Washington, two batches of 27 satellites were delivered in April and June, reaching 54 satellites by mid-2025.
