KuCoin Goes Live on Arc at Mainnet Launch, Broadening Access to Onchain Finance
KuCoin will let eligible users move USDC directly to Arc from day one, as Circle says the network launched with more than 20 stablecoins and institutional validators.
- Circle launched the public mainnet of Arc on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, bringing its USDC-powered layer-1 blockchain online under a permissioned Proof-of-Authority model targeting stablecoin payments and agentic economic activity.
- Built for 'programmable money, global markets, and agentic economic activity,' Arc uses USDC as its native gas asset, removing the need for users to hold volatile network assets to submit ordinary transactions.
- The network supports more than 20 fiat stablecoins and tokenized funds including BlackRock's BUIDL and Circle's USYC. Arc offers Ethereum Virtual Machine compatibility, enabling developers to deploy familiar Solidity contracts without rewrites.
- Exchanges including KuCoin, Binance, and Bybit provide live access points for the ecosystem. KuCoin CEO BC Wong said early support helps connect established markets with emerging infrastructure for real-world financial activity.
- Circle plans to broaden network participation and explore a transition to Proof of Stake in 2027, while Arc currently provides interoperability with more than 20 blockchains through the Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol.
