KuCoin Goes Live on Arc at Mainnet Launch, Broadening Access to Onchain Finance
The integration gives eligible users direct USDC access and reduces the steps needed to reach Arc applications, KuCoin said.
- On Wednesday, Circle launched the Arc mainnet, a layer-1 blockchain for stablecoin payments and financial markets. CEO Jeremy Allaire called it "the single most significant launch in Circle's history since USDC itself."
- The network utilizes USDC as its native gas asset and offers Ethereum Virtual Machine compatibility with sub-second settlement finality. It supports more than 20 fiat stablecoins and links to more than 20 blockchains through the Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol and Gateway.
- KuCoin announced it is live on Arc as a mainnet launch partner, enabling users to move USDC directly between the exchange and the network. BC Wong, CEO of KuCoin, said this establishes "the accessibility, trust and market connectivity needed for traditional and onchain finance to work together at scale."
- This launch follows a public testnet debut in October 2025 involving more than 100 companies, including BlackRock and Mastercard. Circle completed the genesis mint of 10 billion ARC tokens this week, though the mint does not represent a commitment to a public launch.
- Future development plans include broadening participation in network operations and exploring a transition from Proof of Authority to Proof of Stake in 2027. Arc Network Services LLC currently operates the permissioned validator set.
