KSP investigating home invasion that left 2 people dead in Clay County

A juvenile in Manchester, Kentucky, shot and killed two armed intruders during a break-in on Saturday morning, according to Kentucky State Police.
The deceased intruders were identified as 51-year-old Jeffrey Allen and 44-year-old Roger Smith, who allegedly attempted to steal firearms, according to state police.
Authorities are treating the juvenile's actions as self-defense after he retrieved a handgun and shot both men before escaping through a window.
Authorities have not disclosed the juvenile's age or gender, and Detective Logan Gay is leading the investigation.
