News From Poland: Warsaw and Washington Pledge Deeper Defense Ties

On Tuesday, May 27, Polish Defense Minister Vladislav Kosinjak-Kamysz met in the United States with Pentagon chief Pete Hagset. The heads of the defense departments discussed the creation of joint US-Polish defense companies.

Further agreements on cooperation in the preparation of a report on supply chain security in the Polish defense industry were signed on Wednesday and presented to representatives of the university, MAP and MRiT by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz. The report is to be prepared by the end of the year.

State Department Approves Military Sale to Poland

The State Department approved a possible $180 million military sale to Poland, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency said May 21. The sale includes "GBU-39/B Small Diameter Bombs," and the principal contractor will be Boeing.
