As part of their efforts to expand cooperation in the economic, industrial, defence, technological and cultural fields, South Korea and Egypt have increased their bilateral relations to the level of strategic partnership.
The President of South Korea, Li J-Myung, said today Thursday that his country and Egypt had decided to upgrade bilateral relations to the level of strategic partnership. This came in his opening statement just before a summit was held with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi in Seoul.
