On the 20th, Kokushikan University held a press conference at its campus in Setagaya, Tokyo, after suspicions of marijuana use by members of the men's judo club were discovered, and announced that the club would withdraw from the All-Japan Student Championships (held on the 28th and 29th at Nippon Budokan), which will determine the best university in Japan in team matches. The men's judo club will be suspended indefinitely as of the 14th.
