Kokua Line: When will popular recreation areas open after storms? | Honolulu Star-Advertiser

Summary by Star Advertiser
Question: Many Maui residents frequent the Polipoli Spring State Recreation area for recreational hiking, birding, biking and hunting. It’s been closed since the two Kona- low storms. It’s understandable that roads sustained damage and many trees are down. Is there a chance for incremental opening at the Waiakoa Loop Trail for instance, or is there any projection for reopening the entire park?
