The speech King Mohammed VI delivered on the occasion of the 27th anniversary of His accession to the Throne inscribes itself within a well-established rhetorical tradition, that of the performative genre of the Moroccan royal speech, in which the sovereign's utterance simultaneously fulfills religious, political, and pedagogical functions toward the nation.
