King City blanks Gonzales in softball, Soledad splits baseball games with MVC

SALINAS VALLEY — The King City Lady Mustangs improved to 2-4 in the Cypress Division and 8-8 overall after shutting out the host Gonzales Spartans last Monday, 15-0, in high school softball. Alizah Carrillo pitched one inning and Ariah Suarez took the win pitching four innings and striking out seven for the Mustangs.
