King Charles Has Unexpected Reaction to Young Rapper Named Princess

The new program will give young people workshops, mentorship and practical skills for careers in creative industries, Apple said.

  • On Wednesday, King Charles visited Apple's UK headquarters at Battersea Power Station in London, launching Creative Labs with Apple CEO Tim Cook and Sir Elton John. The initiative provides "immersive industry-led experiences" for young people.
  • Celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, the King's Trust has helped more than 1.3 million young people across the UK. Since 2019, the charity has partnered with Apple to develop digital skills and end youth unemployment.
  • The King and Sir Elton enjoyed a soundcheck performance by 22-year-old singer Skye Newman at the new Apple Music Hall. The pair, joined by David Furnish and Cook, applauded after listening to Newman's tune "Crawling".
  • During the workshop, Charles met a young rapper named Princess, who played a track she finished in her bedroom. The King appeared amused, telling her, "To squeeze the words in, you need to be really clever, don't you?".
  • Creative Labs will expand across Apple TV, Apple Podcasts, and other creative industries, providing practical training workshops. This initiative aims to equip young people with the technology and skills necessary to secure employment in the workforce.
