King Charles officially launched his summer break at Balmoral Castle on Tuesday, August 18, as Hello magazine tells us. Arriving in his Scottish home, the sovereign took part in the traditional welcoming ceremony, before finding places particularly dear to the royal family and of course to the memory of his mother Elizabeth II who had spent her last days there.
King Charles has arrived in Balmoral and is about to experience an amusing moment. On an appointment with the Honorary Guard, a famous mascot provides a small surprise for the start.
King Charles III (77) heralded his summer break in Scotland – with a lot of tradition and charm. On Tuesday, the usual welcome ceremony took place at Balmoral Castle, where the monarch appeared to be dressed properly: with kilt, green knee socks and tweedjacket. At the entrance of the property, he took the honor guard of the Balaklava Company of the 5th Battalion of the Royal Regiment of Scotland.
