- On Monday, Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro and First Lady Lori Shapiro hosted King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands at Independence Hall to strengthen bilateral economic ties between the Commonwealth and Kingdom.
- The visit commemorates the 250th anniversary of America's independence and the Netherlands' role in the American Revolution. "We may be separated by an ocean," the King said, "but we are bound by our shared history."
- Shapiro emphasized a "robust trading arrangement" representing billions in commercial activity, including Hershey Chocolates sent to the Kingdom. "It's important that we continue to cherish the centuries-old bond," the King added, citing rule of law.
- Following the morning session, the royals visited the Kensington Creative & Performing Arts High School in Fishtown alongside Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker to engage with students on educational initiatives.
- Their tour concludes at the Philadelphia Eagles' stadium, where they will discuss "sport-related innovation" ahead of the FIFA World Cup. The royals then travel to Washington for a White House reception.
