When the American rock band Nirvana released their second album Nevermind in 1991, it included the song Polly by singer and guitarist Kurt Cobain, with somewhat strange and not entirely easy to understand lyrics. In it, Cobain stylized himself as a kidnapper addressing a girl he was forcibly holding.
