Kidnapped Nigerian retired general dies in captivity

- While authorities confirm the retired officer's death, the whereabouts and condition of his wife remain unknown, and Danmusa noted that security operatives have yet to recover his body.
- No group has claimed responsibility for the kidnapping, though a military spokesman stated that "ongoing operations have since been further intensified to bring perpetrators to justice and to dismantle all terrorist networks.
