INDIA, JUL 15 – The Carens Clavis EV offers two battery options with up to 490 km range and access to over 11,000 charging points, aiming to boost India's EV market with affordable electric mobility.
- Kia India launched the Carens Clavis EV, its first mass-market electric recreational vehicle, with bookings opening on July 22, 2025.
- Kia has expanded its local electric vehicle range by launching the Carens Clavis EV, positioning it to compete with models such as Tata's Curvv, Hyundai's electric Creta, and the MG ZS electric SUV.
- The Carens Clavis EV offers two battery capacities—42 kWh and 51.4 kWh—providing ARAI-certified driving ranges of 404 km and 490 km respectively, and comes equipped with advanced driver assistance systems featuring more than 20 autonomous safety functions.
- The electric MPV starts at ₹17.99 lakh, includes a 26.6-inch dual panoramic display, fast charging from 10% to 80% in 39 minutes via 100 kW DC charger, and an eight-year/160,000 km warranty.
