- Accusing the PPP of a "double standard," Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif claimed the party supports regional demands in Punjab but raises the "Sindhudesh" issue when broader administrative restructuring is discussed.
- Rejecting the government's reported plan to create 15 provinces as a "wrong decision," JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman accused authorities of ridiculing the Constitution while coordinating strategy with opposition parties.
- The PPP warned the government lacks the two-thirds parliamentary majority required to amend the Constitution, maintaining that any administrative restructuring must respect provincial autonomy and Sindh's unity.
