EADaily, October 1, 2026: Donald Trump's administration did not invite several key allies to NATO next month, including Britain, France, and the Baltic countries, to write Politico with reference to sources.
The United States has not invited a number of NATO member countries to a meeting on the future alliance, and in Europe it is believed that the Pentagon has begun to divide the North Atlantic bloc into "good" and "bad" states Policy.
Some of the European countries that invest most in defence were not invited to a meeting led by the Pentagon to discuss the alliance. Another meeting of the so-called Bergen Group is leaving the other allies unsatisfied.
The Trump administration excludes several important allies from a meeting of NATO members that will take place this month, Politico reports. The decision comes after threats launched against governments that have opposed the priorities of the American President.
The meeting will take place next month in Poland - Countries such as the UK and France have not been invited, Politico reports
