Kerala govt. reinstates older system for filling leave vacancies

Summary by The Hindu
The State government has withdrawn a five-year-old restriction on promoting eligible juniors to fill vacancies in government offices arising from employees going on leave for more than three months. The decision was taken after the government found that the restriction was hindering the smooth functioning of government offices. Through a May 16 order, the government reinstated the arrangement which was put on hold in November 2020.
