ISS Issues, Technical Setbacks Delay Historic Axiom-4 Mission
- NASA and Axiom Space postponed the June 10, 2025 launch of Axiom Mission 4 to the ISS from Cape Canaveral due to technical issues.
- The launch delay was triggered by the discovery of a new pressure irregularity suggesting a breach in the rear portion of the Zvezda service module on the ISS following recent repair work.
- ISRO recommended in-situ repairs and a low-temperature leak test before launch clearance while NASA and Roscosmos continue evaluating the situation for further troubleshooting needs.
- The mission includes Indian astronaut Group Captain Shubanshu Shukla and carries six Indian-led experiments featuring high-yield crop seeds from Kerala Agricultural University for microgravity research.
- This postponement provides additional time to ensure crew safety and highlights India's expanding role in international space science through collaborative projects aboard the ISS.
