Kentucky drought worsens despite recent rain

Moderate and severe drought expanded statewide, and 55.34% of Kentucky is now in D1 conditions, the U.S. Drought Monitor said.

FRANKFORT – Despite some areas of Kentucky receiving rain earlier this week, drought conditions have worsened in Kentucky, according to the weekly U.S. Drought Monitor report issued on Thursday.
