Kelowna youth sport leaders have chance at $1,000 award

The $1,000 award will honor a Kelowna-area youth leader who expands access to sport for underrepresented participants.

One notable Kelowna youth will be receiving an award of $1,000, as the BC Summer Games highlights young sports leaders ahead of its 2026 games. Kelowna residents can nominate a person between 16 and 24 years old for the Karina LeBlanc Game Changer Award – which named after Olympic bronze medalist and Canadian soccer player Karina LeBlanc.
