Kelly Clarkson Gets Emotional Over Talk Show Coming to an End
Clarkson said the end of her daytime show is not a goodbye, and she will return as a coach on The Voice season 30.
Kelly Clarkson announced earlier this year that The Kelly Clarkson Show will conclude following its seventh season, with the final episode airing later this year.
Clarkson explained the decision centers on prioritizing her children, River and Remy, following the death of their father, Brandon Blackstock, last August.
During the May 27 episode, guest Rita Wilson thanked Clarkson for "literally changing the game when it came to daytime television," moving the host to tears.
Clarkson reassured fans she is not leaving the spotlight, confirming her return as a coach for season 30 of The Voice alongside Adam Levine, Queen Latifah, and Riley Green.
The three-time Grammy winner emphasized, "This isn't goodbye," noting she maintains other professional commitments while pulling back to focus on her personal life.
