Kei Hirakawa (Koza High School Graduate), a Native of Uruma City, Has Been Selected to Represent Japan in the 1600m Relay at the World Championships in May.

On April 16, the Japan Association of Athletics Federations (JAAF) announced the athletes who will represent Japan at the World Relays to be held in Gaborone, Botswana on May 2 and 3. Ten athletes, including Kira Hirakawa (Koza High School - Toyo University 3rd year), from Uruma City, were selected for the men's and mixed 1600-meter relay teams. This is Hirakawa's first time being selected.
