Katy Perry, Future and Anitta to headline FIFA World Cup 2026 opening ceremony in Los Angeles
FIFA said the Los Angeles show will start 90 minutes before kickoff and feature Katy Perry, Future, Anitta, LISA, Rema and Tyla.
FIFA announced three star-studded opening ceremonies across Mexico, Canada, and the United States, scheduled for June 11 in Mexico City and June 12 in Toronto and Los Angeles.
Pop icon Katy Perry, rapper Future, and Nigerian star Rema headline the Los Angeles ceremony at SoFi Stadium, joined by Brazilian singer Anitta, South African star Tyla, and BLACKPINK member LISA.
Canada's BMO Field celebration features Canadian-American singer Alanis Morissette and Canadian singer Michael Bublé, while Mexico City's Azteca Stadium lineup includes J Balvin, rock band Maná, and Alejandro Fernández.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino said ceremonies will bring together "music, culture and football" while reflecting each nation's identity. Shakira and Burna Boy will release the official anthem "Dai Dai" on May 14.
The 2026 tournament features a record 104 matches across 16 host cities, with United States events coinciding with the nation's 250th Independence anniversary on July 4.
