New regulation for students and graduates of GEL and EPAL from areas affected by natural disasters – The exact percentage and the date for submitting supporting documents have not yet been announced
The decision of the Minister of Education, Sofia Zacharaki, was published in the Government Gazette, which determines the beneficiaries and supporting documents for admission to higher education in the academic year 2026-2027 of students and graduates of General and Vocational High Schools in areas affected by natural disasters.

"In October 2025, we brought the issue to Parliament, documented and timely, asking for the obvious: that students in areas affected by natural disasters have the same support that the State has provided in similar cases," he says, among other things.
