Kate Beckinsale Cast in Shark Survival Movie White
Beckinsale will also executive-produce the action film as casting begins and principal photography is set to start this summer, Highland Film Group said.
Kate Beckinsale has joined the shark survival film White as an executive producer and cast member, starring alongside Katherine McNamara in director Jake West's action flick.
The plot centers on struggling actress Willa Harba, who survives a private jet crash in the Pacific Ocean and is stranded on a fractured wing with only a satellite phone.
Written by Dan Schaffer, the film features an ensemble cast including Emile Hirsch and Terrence Howard; principal photography begins this summer in Bulgaria, England, and the United States.
Highland Film Group is launching worldwide sales at Cannes. CEO Arianne Fraser called it an "incredibly elevated and intense adventure" filled with tension and ferocious sharks.
Meanwhile, Beckinsale recently signed on for the comedy-drama Turnbuckle alongside Cara Delevingne, a darkly comic story set in Arkansas directed by writer-director Sean McEwen who completed filming.
