The ultra-rightist Jos Antonio Kast was elected president of Chile this Sunday when he defeated leftist Jeannette Jara, according to the official preliminary results. Kast arrived as a favorite after receiving the support of other like-minded ones in the second round.
Argentina, Ecuador, Bolivia, and now Chile. In Latin America, after voting, the left loses ground. The reasons for this turn to the right are multiple, between desire for rupture and security concerns.
