The multi-day festival in Hungary is one of the largest in Europe and attracts many Dutch visitors.
At the end of October, it looked like the end of the famous Sziget music festival in Budapest, Hungary. However, former festival organizer Károly Gerendai announced that he would save the event. Next year, it will take place from August 11 to 15.
Károly Gerendai is providing the two billion forint guarantee with the help of Budapest Park and is looking for co-investors to finance Sziget. However, the brand rights will remain with the American Superstruct Entertainment, and Sziget Zrt. will be returned to the old and new owners for 5.8 million forints.
Last week it seemed like the Sziget Festival was going to be ruined, but Károly Gerendai managed to save it. However, he is taking a serious risk in doing so. Interview.
