Chief Minister DK Shivakumar stated that CCTV cameras would monitor the donation boxes placed near the sanctum sanctorum and every step of the counting process in all temples managed by the Hindu Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowments Department.
In the wake of the Ayodhya Ram temple donation theft case, the Karnataka government has ordered the mandatory installation of CCTV cameras in major Muzrai temples in the state. The Chief Minister has given strict instructions to the officials to protect the religious sentiments of devotees, secure the donation box and monitor the prasad distribution centers.
