What Radford Transfer Dennis Parker Jr. Brings to Kansas Basketball
Dennis Parker Jr. brings scoring and rebounding from Radford after leading John Marshall to a state title.
On Thursday, Radford transfer Dennis Parker announced his commitment to the Kansas Jayhawks, bringing high-major experience from his time at North Carolina State to coach Bill Self's roster.
During his junior season at Radford, Parker averaged 18.3 points per game, including a 53-point performance against Coppin State in December that ranked among the nation's highest single-game totals.
Coach Bill Self requested Parker focus on scoring, a need Parker met by shooting 48.4% from the field and 37.7% from 3-point range last season while averaging 5.9 rebounds per game.
Parker joins a Kansas transfer class that now totals four, alongside Charleston transfer Christian Reeves, Toledo transfer Leroy Blyden, and Utah transfer Keanu Dawes.
The Jayhawks maintain three open roster spots as Parker arrives as a senior with one year of eligibility remaining, positioning him for immediate contribution next season.
