WASHINGTON >> The Kalshi prediction market was sued for failing to pay $54 million to people who bet that Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei would leave office before March 1, according to a class-action lawsuit filed on Thursday.
Kalshi is one of the websites where you can bet on the occurrence of events. However, because you are not supposed to benefit from death, there is a fight.
After Ali Khamenei's death, Kalshi explained that this possibility was an exception to one of his predictive markets. This did not please a part of the users, who chose to file a complaint to denounce "misleading practices."
