Foreign Minister Questutis Budris stated that there was currently no reason to review European Union (EU) sanctions on Belarusian potassium fertilizers, although the matter was being discussed with the United States.
Lithuania, Poland and even Ukraine have received letters from the American administration asking to allow transit of Belarusian Lukashenko fertilizers. Our politicians tirelessly repeat that they cannot even resolve this issue, because common European sanctions are in force. But how we will maneuver with the Americans and what Lithuanian strategy we will continue to apply towards Belarus remains unclear.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga said that Kyiv does not support the idea of easing sanctions against Belarus, including on supplies of Belarusian potash.
Kęstutis Budrys, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, says that there is currently no basis for reviewing European Union (EU) sanctions on Belarusian potash fertilizers, although this issue is being discussed with the United States.
