On May 8, 1945, Germany capitulated and signed the end of six years of a Second World War. A little less than a year before, a Burgundy village escaped a massacre worthy of that suffered by the inhabitants of Oradour-sur-Glane on June 10, 1944. To sacralize this "miracle", a 4 metre high Virgin is erected in Iguerande. Her name? Our Lady of Peace.
