She was born on August 16, 1950, in Greensburg, Indiana, the daughter of Paul Dee & Lois Ruth (Hollis) Badgley. She was a lifelong resident of Decatur County and a 1968 graduate of Sandcreek High School. She worked at Cummins Child Development Center and Asbury Children’s Morning Out.
