San José, 1 Jul (Prensa Latina) The Full Court of Costa Rica today asked the Legislative Assembly (Congress) to lift immunity to the president of the country, Rodrigo Chaves, and to the minister of Culture and Youth, Jorge Rodríguez, reported the newspaper Delfino.cr. The Supreme Court of Justice of Costa Rica sent a request to the Assembly Tuesday to withdraw immunity from the president of the country, Rodrigo Chaves, with a view to prosecuting him for allegedly favoring close collaborators with consulting contracts.
