Judge sentences man to 25 years in prison theft valuing more than $300,000

Victor Paul Smith, a Whitewright man, was sentenced to 25 years in state prison for a multi-year fraud scheme involving over $300,000 in stolen property in Grayson County. Evidence showed Smith obtained furniture and vehicles without payment by convincing victims he would repay them from a trust fund.
