- Treasurer Jim Chalmers and Opposition Leader Angus Taylor panned the proposal, with Chalmers arguing it is a "recipe to make Australian workers tens of thousands of dollars worse off in retirement" and frames the election as a "referendum on super."
- Joyce's appearance followed earlier controversies, including an incident two months ago involving his dog, Stella, and his admission on Monday that he was unaware of allegations of "sexual deviance" levelled at One Nation Victorian party leader Warren Pickering.
