Mexico City.- José Ramón López Beltrán, the eldest son of former president Andrés Manuel López Obrador, accused the artificial intelligence of platform X, Grok, of "automated harassment." "The artificial intelligence Grok, associated with X, responded with personal insults, language of hatred, body stigmatization, lies and disinformation. That is neither criticism nor debate: it is automated harassment," he said in a publication on that platform.
The eldest son of Andrés Manuel López Obrador, José Ramón López Beltrán, became involved in a “fight” with Grok, the assistant of Artificial Intelligence associated with social network X, after this tool, at the request of a user, issued a response on sarcastic description of López Beltrán and his lifestyle, which has generated him to be involved in several polemics.
José Ramón López Beltrán, the eldest son of former president Andrés Manuel López Obrador, demanded an official apology on January 8, 2026, from the social network X and its owner, Elon Musk, for insults directed at him by Grok, the platform's artificial intelligence. López Beltrán accused the tool of "automated harassment" and of reproducing "hate speech."
The controversy broke out after a user asked Grok to respond to a message from López Beltrán.
