Jordanian Army downs 7 missiles, 6 drones launched from Iran Friday
AMMAN: The Jordanian air defence systems and Royal Jordanian Air Force aircraft intercepted and shot down seven missiles and six drones launched from Iran toward the Kingdom on Friday, a military source at the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, said.According to Jordan News Agency (Petra), the source said the interception operation resulted in no casualties or material damage.
The Jordanian army announced on Wednesday that it had suffered two Iranian attacks and intercepted six missiles and four drones, with Tehran responding to the American bombings by attacking Washington allies in the area.
The Islamic Republic continues its attacks on American targets in several countries in the region. The US President, for his part, claimed that for every American soldier killed, Iran "will pay the price several times."
Jordan's military says it has shot down three Iranian missiles targeting the country.
