At around 6:25 pm on the 11th, a power outage occurred on the Joetsu Shinkansen line between Niigata and Nagaoka, halting service on that section for approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes. According to JR East, a total of seven trains, both inbound and outbound, were delayed by up to 69 minutes, affecting approximately 4,600 people. The cause of the power outage is currently under investigation.
