- Recently, Jessica Belkin was cast as Charlie Vale, the biological daughter of Baywatch captain Hobie Buchannon, joining Stephen Amell and David Chokachi in the new Baywatch series.
- The show positions family legacy as Hobie Buchannon’s world is turned upside down when Charlie Vale, raised in Texas, arrives to prove herself as a Baywatch lifeguard and carry on the Buchannon family legacy.
- Fox Entertainment and Fremantle confirmed they are co-producing the reboot with Matt Nix as showrunner and McG directing the premiere; production will shoot on Venice Beach, Los Angeles, and the FOX Studio Lot, Century City.
- Open casting activity showed high interest with over 14,000 headshots and more than 2,000 hopefuls, while David Chokachi returns as Cody Madison, now running The Shoreline.
- Having just wrapped the Netflix film Bad Day, Belkin will appear in the 12-episode series slated for Fox’s 2026-27 season, and also stars in Elle, premiering July 1.
