Jerusalem court extends detention of man suspected of arson during protest
The suspect's lawyer said that the decision was motivated by 'political pressure' and connected to his participation in protests. Police also arrested an 80-year-old man who acccording to his lawyer did not leave his home the morning of the protest
He is Col. (ret.) Amos Doron, a relative of Brigadier General (ret.) Ofer Doron, who is accused of broadcasting a video of the Netanyahu family's torture in Caesarea. The judge noted that there was reasonable suspicion of him and a fear of danger and disruption, and therefore extended his detention. The second suspect, an 83-year-old man, was released to house arrest.
