On Friday 4 July, an internet debate followed by a vote by the socialist and radical majority group appointed Socialist Senator Jérôme Durain, 56 years old. He was running against Nicolas Soret.
After an internal debate, followed by a vote this Friday, July 4, in the morning, the Socialist and Radical majority group chose the Senator of Saône-et-Loire Jérôme Durain to take over from Marie-Guite Dufay as Chairman of the Regional Council of Burgundy-Franche-Comté. He was notably preferred to Icaunais Nicolas Soret.
The Senator of Saône-et-Loire won an internal primary in the majority group of the Region this Friday morning, where he was opposed to the vice-president of the Economy, Nicolas Soret. Jérôme Durain is the probable successor of Marie-Guite Dufay, whose resignation will be effective in September.
