Jericho Mountain fire burning west of Helena in Powell County

- The U.S. Forest Service reported that, with containment remaining at 0%, they are deploying a type III incident management team and increasing efforts by using aircraft and additional heavy machinery to control the fire.
- Several agencies supported the initial firefighting efforts, and officials urged the public to stay away from the portion of the Continental Divide Trail located between MacDonald Pass and Luttrell due to active fire conditions and the risk of it spreading.
