Jeremy Clarkson breaks silence on new Grand Tour hosts with blunt warning
Clarkson tells Francis Bourgeois and the Throttle House creators to have fun as Amazon revives the motoring series with six new episodes.
Jeremy Clarkson issued a "sweary warning" to the new Prime Video hosts—Francis Bourgeois, James Engelsman, and Thomas Holland—during a visit to his Diddly Squat Farm ahead of The Grand Tour's September return.
Amazon announced the show's return earlier this year following the original trio's 2016–2024 run; Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May concluded their tenure after hosting the motoring series for eight years.
Despite the earlier "sweary" comments, Clarkson expressed confidence in the new team, telling the audience, "I've actually been watching what they've been up to for the past year and a half, and they're very, very good."
The new series promises "big adventures, questionable car choices, and plenty of laughs," with episodes featuring tests in California, travel through the Angolan desert, and exploration of Malaysia's car culture.
Addressing the new hosts directly, Clarkson advised, "Listen, guys. Seriously, have fun with this," offering professional guidance as Bourgeois, Engelsman, and Holland assume control of the motoring franchise.
