Actress Jennifer Harmon, a Broadway veteran and star of the ABC soap "One Life to Live," died Saturday, May 9, at age 82. Her family announced the death of the prolific performer.
After debuting on Broadway in 1965 in "You Can't Take It With You," Harmon starred in the NBC daytime drama "How to Survive a Marriage" during its 335-episode run in 1974 and 1975.
Throughout her career, Harmon appeared in 21 Broadway productions and frequently understudied for actors like Stockard Channing, Judi Dench, and Jessica Lange. Credits included "The School for Scandal" and 2011's "Other Desert Cities."
Millions of television viewers recognized Harmon as the villainous Cathy Craig Lord on "One Life to Live." The role earned her a Daytime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series in 1978.
Beyond soap operas, she built a prolific television resume with appearances on "Dallas," "St. Elsewhere," and "The Good Wife." Harmon is remembered for the depth and consistency she brought to every role throughout her career.
