Lommel is considered the toughest race in the world of motocross. A deep Belgian mud. And this is the 14th race of the world championship this year. Jeffrey Herlings, with the absence of the injured Lucas Coenen, is the only favorite to win, which would take the next big step towards his sixth world championship title (third in the elite MXGP class).
The Belgian Red Bull KTM factory driver Lucas Coenen had to cancel the Grand Prix of Flanders in Lommel after the free training. This makes him almost impossible with regard to the MXGP title win.
Motocross rider Jeffrey Herlings from Oploo has another excellent opportunity this weekend to do well in the battle for the MXGP world title. His main rival Lucas Coenen is still suffering too much from an injury and will therefore not be in action in Lommel.
